Introducing the EUDR Compliance Collective (ECC)

EUDR Compliance Collective (ECC)

We are launching the EUDR Compliance Collective - audit-ready EUDR compliance for risk assessment and mitigation with zero effort. We do the risk mitigation work for you, based on the collective needs of our members. We track deforestation and legal risks cases, monitor them, ensure they don’t enter your supply chain, and provide all the reporting you need to comply.

Membership is open to any company classified as an EU operator as well as non-operators who want to keep track of EUDR compliance efforts. We have two pricing tiers, one for operators and one for non-operators and SMEs. We offer affordable options so that all companies can fully comply and avoid risks in their palm oil supply chain.

So join us today! Write to us at info@maphubs.com or you can find further information here.

Last week, our EUDR Compliance Collective advisor, Tobias Zobel, attended the The Amsterdam Declarations Partnership (ADP) meeting in Berlin, which brought together government officials, NGOs, and industry figures to highlight ADP’s decade-long effort to address deforestation. Tobias noted that the upcoming enforcement of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) was seen by all as a major milestone with many conveying strong momentum to implement EUDR. Some though were concerned that legal certainty remain a major impediment. Concerns also remain about initial implementation challenges and political pushback—such as Germany's proposed “Zero Risk” category—which could dilute EUDR’s impact.

Tobias thought that National traceability efforts (e.g., Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Paraguay) showed progress, but still fell short in providing the B2B traceability transparency that EUDR demands. From an EU operator’s perspective, this is a significant barrier.

The ADP also emphasized greater collaboration and smallholder inclusion. However, EUDR's strict requirement for negligible risk at the time of delivery clashes with longer term goals of risk mitigation tools such as grievance mechanisms and landscape approaches. Tobias thinks addressing this contradiction will be key, and Palmoil.io’s new EUDR Compliant Collective can help companies tackle the risk mitigation requirement!

Meet the Team

Sofi, Senior Data Analyst

Sofi, Senior Data Analyst

With over six years of experience in GIS and a deep-rooted passion for sustainable palm oil, Sofi is one of the driving forces behind our spatial data work at MapHubs. She began her journey in the palm oil sector right after graduating with a degree in Geography. It was during her early role in a palm oil company that she realized how powerful geospatial data could be in driving sustainability. That insight led her to Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS), an NGO where she worked closely with smallholder farmers—building training programs, managing messy data systems, and navigating complex certification schemes like RSPO and ISPO.

Today at MapHubs, Sofi merges her love of data and sustainability. Whether she’s managing spatial datasets, tracking deforestation patterns, or training clients, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise and real-world understanding to the table. One of her favorite projects so far? The eTTP project, where she used coding to expand data coverage and analyze group relationships—plus any work that lets her trace palm oil supply chains and empower clients through training.

Sofi says the best part of her job is seeing people grow. “I love guiding people from zero to confidence in new skills—it’s so rewarding,” she shares.

Oh, and a fun fact you might not expect: she’s afraid of heights—though she scales data challenges like a pro.

Pop-Up Definitions for Grievance Terms

One of the most common questions we get from Palmoil.io subscribers is: “What do these terms mean?”, especially when it comes to how we categorize grievances. To make things simpler, we’ve added instant definitions directly to the grievance dashboard. Now, when you hover over any status, stage, or issue, you’ll see a clear explanation of what it means. Of course, if you’re ever unsure or want more context, especially during a live demo, we’re always happy to walk you through it. But now, for those quick moments of confusion, the answers are right at your fingertips.

How to go from incomplete traceability data to compliant plots

How to go from incomplete traceability data to compliant plots

From estate points to plots - With estate points you can use concession or properties boundaries combined with a up to date planted area map, to find and map the current mature sourcing area plot for EUDR.

From mill lists to (estimated) plots - With a mill list you can use the Palmoil.io eTTP estimate traceability model to identify likely plots, and then same as estates, identify the mature sourcing areas. We are working on a version 2.0 of our eTTP model with an increased level of detail, and hope to have more to share soon. We then recommend verifying this information with your supplier, but in some cases it offers a helpful starting point.

From a refinery - If the refinery publishes a mill list, that can be used to do the same at the refinery level.

We can help! Contact us at info@maphubs.com if you need help preparing your plot data for EUDR.
